SGT. ANDREW WOLFE’S MOM SAYS HER SON IS RECOGNIZING FACES AND SHARING SMILES AGAIN

Andrew Wolfe suffered a severe injuries in Washington, D.C., and this incident shook the world of Andrew’s family and left everyone clinging to faith during the scariest times of their lives. Of course, sometimes the future seems unsure, but currently, Andrew’s recovery is labelled as no less than a miracle.

Andrew is now conscious, alert, and conscious of the people who are around him. Even though he is not able to speak, it is clear that he is able to hear the conversation that is going on around him and understands it, to the point where he even reacts to a joke that is being told to him.

Emotionally, one of the most poignant moments is when Andrew got to kiss his mom, Melody. She describes this as a moment that she will remember for the rest of her life, a reminder that her son is still there and is fighting his way back. It was a miracle in itself for a family who felt that they may never have this type of moment again.

Finally, doctors have confirmed that Andrew is able to breathe on his own and is able to stand with assistance, both of which are big steps towards his recovery. In the days to come, Andrew will be moved to a rehab center where he will continue his fight towards recovery.

Andrew’s parents explain that the excellent medical care he has been receiving, together with the prayers, love, and support of those near and far, has been the strength that has carried them through the most difficult periods of their ordeal. “Every message, every prayer, every act of kindness has contributed towards sustaining our strength and hope,” they say.

Melody has been steadfast and hopeful right from the beginning, believing that her son would come out okay even when faced with unclear odds. As Andrew presses onward, taking each small but important step, faith, gratitude, and love are still paramount to his family.

“Their message is one of simplicity and sincerity: the long recovery continues, but their hearts are full because they believe their son is returning to them, step by step.”
