The mom of 9-year-old Brie Bird, Kendra, is clinging to the last memories she made with her daughter, much of which now means the world after her little girl passed away following a long and brave fight against advanced cancer.

Her story even reached the cast of Wicked, who surprised her with thoughtful gifts and a private early screening of the film.
When Wicked was released worldwide in November, Brie and her family marked the moment together at home — grateful to have reached a date that once felt uncertain and far away.
