JACKSON BROWNE SAYS GOODBYE TO HIS SON ETHAN, A FATHER’S PAIN THAT WILL LAST FOREVER.

His son, Ethan Browne, has been sadly lost to Jackson Browne, who passed away at the tender age of 52.

In a statement posted on Nov. 26, the legendary singer-songwriter revealed that Ethan was discovered unresponsive in his home on the morning of Nov. 25, 2025. The family has respectfully asked that they be left alone during this very trying period in their lives and that no additional information regarding Ethan’s death be released.

Ethan had a father in singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, whose albums include “Late for the Celebration” and “The Naked Ride and Other Lie-Driven Experiences,” in addition to a mother, Phyllis Major, who was also an actress. Ethan experienced tragedy when he lost his mother when he was only two years old in 1976. As a baby, Ethan was a familiar face in the limelight since he appeared on the cover of “Rolling Stone” magazine being held by his father.

With age, Ethan carved out his niche as a creative individual. Ethan worked as a model and actor. He appeared in the film “Raising Helen.” Moreover, he worked with top designers like Isaac Mizrahi. Ethan has been associated with the musical scene as well. In fact, he founded “Spinside Records,” which is an affiliate label of his father’s record company.

People who knew Ethan remember that he was soulful, sincere, and very kind—a truly handsome man who shared the features of both of his parents. Ethan was often talked about by his father, Jackson Browne, in proud tones when discussing his role as a loving father. In his more recent interviews, Browne has said that one of his greatest blessings in life has been watching Ethan with his children.

Ethan leaves behind family members, including his younger brother Ryan, who is now 43 years of age. Together, they cherish a memory of a beloved son, a loving brother, and a devoted dad, whose life, presence, and spirit will be sorely missed.

While the family mourns, they are finding solace in memories of Ethan’s warmth, creativity, and the deep love he shared with those closest to him.
