23-YEAR-OLD DOG-SITTER LOST HER LIFE AFTER LETTING PIT BULLS BACK INSIDE.

A family mourned the tragic passing away of 23-year-old Madison Hull, who died while helping with the care of the dogs in a home where she had been helping a family she loved.

Madison had ventured out to fetch the dogs inside when, out of nowhere, the dogs turned on her. A resident nearby heard the scuffle and immediately called for assistance. Deputies from the sheriff’s office were quick to respond. When one of the deputies arrived, the dogs turned on him as well, and he was forced to fend off the attack. One of the dogs was killed.

The mother of Madison, Jennifer Hubbell, said that as soon as she heard what had occurred, she fell to her knees in shock. She told that Madison had always loved animals, but in the last few days, Madison had complained of feeling nervous. Jennifer observed the weird demeanor of the dogs, as though they weren’t the same animals that she had known.

For several weeks, Madison was taking care of the children of the home’s occupants and was close to them. The family trusted her fully, and when they asked if they could let her take care of the dogs as well, they truly believed that all would be well.

Only 23 years old, Madison was just six months from finishing her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Texas at Tyler. Her dream was to one day work with young children and make a difference in their lives. She was inspired to do so because of her younger brother who has Asperger’s.

Despite her overwhelming grief, Jennifer insists she is choosing peace over anger – even as her heart seems to be breaking into a million pieces. She hopes her daughter will be remembered not for the tragedy surrounding her untimely passing, but for the kindness with which she touched everyone and everything around her – her gentle soul, her compassion for others, and the overwhelming depth of her love.
