A woman from North Carolina tragically lost her life after making an attempt to save her precious dog from an unexpected event occurring outside her house.
At about afternoon on Sunday, November 23, deputies were sent out to a house on North Peavine Road near Bonnetsville, where they discovered 38-year-old Barbara Brewington outside. It should be noted that Barbara had been tending to a stray dog that she had taken in back in May. The dog was a mixed breed.
According to reports, it all began with her small dog escaping outside accidentally.

When Barbara attempted to intervene and separate her dog from the stray, it surprisingly turned aggressive. Wheeling into action and determined to save her dog, Barbara was able to get her small dog back into the house. As a tragic consequence of her actions, she seriously injured herself and died shortly afterward. The stray dog was removed from her property and put down.
Not only was Barbara an avid animal lover, but also a devoted mother of three who loved her kids with all her heart. As if these roles were not enough, Barbara worked as a dental assistant at Village Family Dental. According to her colleagues at her workplace, Barbara was a very kind and cheerful person who would always be willing to assist and help whenever and wherever she was needed. To her loved ones, Barbara was very special because her presence lit up every room with happiness.
Not to mention, her tragic and unexpected death has brought an overwhelming sorrow within the community as people mourn the loss of a woman who had put everyone before herself. The act of Barbara being so Bold and Self-less on behalf of her animal aches as a testament to her Loving Nature.
Her family and friends have continued to honor her memory by celebrating the love and light that she brought into their lives. Although Barbara’s life had been tragically short, her courage and her joy will never be forgotten.
